We build pipelines that stay in sync
Synchronoid is a small, remote-first team making data pipelines something you can trust, explain and stop worrying about. We started in 2025 and opened our private beta in spring 2026.
Born from too many 3 a.m. pages
Lena and Tomás met while running data platforms for a company that collected public registry data. Every week brought the same problems: a provider changed its API, a quota ran out, a worker died halfway through a load, and nobody could say why a number in a report looked wrong.
They built internal tooling to fix each problem once: retries that know when to stop, request budgets shared across jobs, steps that are safe to run twice, and a record of where every value came from. Colleagues in other companies kept asking for the same thing, so in 2025 they left to turn it into a product.
Today Synchronoid is a managed platform for building, running and observing data pipelines. It is in private beta, and a handful of teams in fintech, energy, logistics and real estate data run it in production.
Our timeline
Make data you can explain
We believe every number in a dashboard should come with its history. Our mission is to make pipelines reliable by default, so that teams spend their time on the data, not on the plumbing.
How we work
Be honest about reliability
We say what is done and what is not. Our SOC 2 audit is in progress, and we say so. Our status page shows real numbers.
Make it safe to retry
Failure is normal. We design every feature so that running it twice is harmless and recovering from a crash is automatic.
Write things down
We work across time zones, so we favor clear written decisions, public docs and short meetings over hallway talk.
Respect developers
Config you can read, an SDK you can debug, and errors that tell you what to do next. No magic, no surprises.
Listen to the beta
Our users shape the roadmap. Many features in v0.14 started as a message from a beta team.
Treat data as someone else’s
Customer data is never ours to use. We minimise access, encrypt everything and keep it in the region you choose.
The people who started it
Co-founder and CEO
Lena spent a decade building data products on public registries and leading data teams. She looks after product, customers and the company’s direction, and still reads every beta request.
Co-founder and CTO
Tomás is a distributed-systems engineer who has run durable job systems at scale. He leads engineering and security, and wrote the first version of the replay-safe step model.
Remote-first, with two hubs
Most of us work from home, and we meet in person a few times a year. We keep hubs in two cities for those who like an office.
- Berlin: engineering, product and go-to-market
- Lisbon: engineering, support and operations
- Overlap hours between roughly 09:00 and 13:00 Central European Time
- Data hosted in Frankfurt (EU) and Virginia (US)
We’re hiring
We are looking for engineers, a designer and a customer engineer to join the team.
